Imported by Design (IBD) is a young, antique Chinese furniture import company, based in Brooklyn, NY, formed by 3 friends that love design, travel and all things beautiful.

In 2006 an opportunity arose to move from New York to Shanghai and, just like that, we went! Before we knew it, we had spent 2 years in China, traveling around and falling  in love with the design of antique Chinese furniture.

New Yorkers appreciate different cultures, so we knew that the antique Chinese furniture we hand selected from different provinces around China would be well received back home. We hope you enjoy looking at these treasures as much as we enjoyed discovering them.
